About the Role
The Functional System Analyst (Finance) is responsible for managing business requirements and end-user issues within SAP Finance by analyzing financial transactions, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and developing effective system solutions. This role partners closely with Finance and cross-functional business teams to optimize financial processes, support SAP FICO, improve reporting capabilities, maintain operational stability, and ensure data integrity across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and participate in food safety programs, including SQF (Safe Quality Food).
- Resolve SAP Finance system and business process issues submitted through the ticketing system.
- Analyze complex cross-functional business processes and identify functional and integration requirements.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve finance processes, system integration, and overall SAP performance.
- Partner with Finance to define and document business requirements for new financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to optimize finance processes and maximize SAP capabilities.
- Support SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Budgeting and Planning implementation.
- Evaluate potential cost savings and business benefits related to Makira OCR implementation.
- Lead day-to-day resolution of SAP Finance issues raised by business users.
- Optimize finance integration processes, including deductions, dispute management, MCBs, and KPDs.
- Build strong working relationships with leadership, business managers, and subject matter experts.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to align expectations and ensure operational excellence.
- Lead functional requirement definition, testing, training, and implementation activities.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer following implementation.
- Prepare presentations for senior leadership outlining project progress, results, risks, and support needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- SAP FICO Certification (required).
- 7+ years of SAP experience focused on:
- SAP Finance (FICO)
- Business Analysis
- Process Improvement
- Finance Systems Support
- SAP Implementations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience documenting business requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve complex business issues.
- General knowledge of Information Systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
- Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Distribution, Retail, or Supply Chain industries.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Visio.
- Power BI experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of EDI and multi-system integrations.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
