To work with a dedicated team of service professionals to diagnose, repair and carry out maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and transportation equipment. It is a great opportunity to offer outstanding customer satisfaction while working as a valuable member of Maxim’s prospering team
You will work independently to complete the diagnosis, service and repair of heavy trucks and trailers. This includes identifying potential and future problems, making recommendations on repairs or parts replacement, updating to the Service Manager during shift changes, driving during road tests to ensure work is done. quality, carrying out detailed work orders and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 2+ years experience in heavy truck mechanics
- Have a great team spirit and a special focus on the client
- Demonstrated problem-solving qualities
- Basic computer skills and learning ability of programs used internally
- Can lift 75 pounds and perform demanding physical activities
- Familiar with the tools of the trade and equipped with adequate tools
- Valid driver's license (for road tests)
- Reliable means of transportation (there is no public transportation service near the workplace)
WHAT WE OFFER:
· A ‘Tool and Boot’ Allowance of 100% reimbursement to a maximum of $700 per calendar year
· Maxim will pay for 100% of eligible course and book expenses to a maximum of $1000 per level of Apprenticeship Training
