Come join Ion Performance and Wellness in the vibrant neighborhood of Cascade Heights, Burnaby! We’re a local clinic looking to build our team with a Registered Clinical Counsellor! As a Clinical Counsellor, you help patients improve and maintain their mental health and well-being. You are experienced in various clinical counselling modalities and can work with a range of patient groups (individuals, couples, families, and groups). You are passionate in supporting and empowering patients with the right tools to live a healthy lifestyle.
How you support your patients:
- Provide a safe and confidential environment for all patients.
- Assess and treat patients' behavioural, cognitive, emotional, relational functioning, and other psychological distress.
- Provide expertise on psychotherapeutic/clinical counselling approaches to assist and collaborate with patients on their expectations of counselling benefits, risks, and expected mutual outcomes.
- Provide patients with tools and resources to manage and improve their mental function, health and wellness, and lifestyle.
- Document patients on-going progress and outcomes with high confidentiality.
- Collaborate with fellow practitioners to ensure full support of patients' health and wellness needs.
Requirements as a Clinical Counselor:
- Registered Clinical Counselor or Psychotherapist, in ‘Good Standing’, under the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
- Knowledgeable of and complies with all BCACC Standards of Practice.
- Current Burnaby business license holder and/or has the ability to apply to obtain one.
- Minimum $3 million professional liability insurance.
