Overview
We are seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to lead our Fire Protection piping construction team on an industrial project in North Vancouver. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee large-scale piping installations, ensure safety compliance, and drive project success from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all piping activities and ensuring work is completed as per the schedule and in accordance with specifications
- Conduct daily meetings with direct reports to plan daily, weekly and monthly production and schedule requirements
- Coordinate piping activities with other trade disciplines to ensure operational success
- Ensure proactive project safety management practices
- Select appropriate construction equipment and ensure availability and delivery
- Manage costs through proactive planning
- Review all plans, specifications and documentation for discrepancies and constructability
- Provide detailed development reports of the piping schedule
- Ensure compliance with all QA/QC requirements and regulations
Requirements
- Journeyperson Pipefitter or Journeyperson Sprinkler Fitter
- Minimum 5 years trades experience
- Minimum 3 years relevant onsite construction leadership experience
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14
- Demonstrated competency in a Superintendent or General Foreperson role
- Valid Class 5 Driver License + Clean Driver Abstract
Hours of Work
- Monday - Friday
- 10 hours per day (8 hours straight time + 2 hours overtime)
Compensation
- $60-$75 per hour base rate (depending on experience)
