Overview
We are seeking a motivated Flatbed Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting a variety of building materials using flatbed trucks across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving, load securement, and route management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed trucks with manual transmission to transport freight efficiently and safely across various routes
- Load and unload building materials such as roofing supplies, textured panels, and natural finishes using appropriate equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks
- Secure cargo properly on flatbeds to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Navigate route driving plans effectively, adhering to schedules and traffic laws
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or route adjustments
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, cargo details, and delivery documentation
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with flatbed trailers and freight delivery
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers is a plus
- Skilled in load & unload procedures using forklifts or other lifting equipment
- Knowledge of safety protocols for securing freight on flatbeds and handling various types of cargo
- Strong understanding of route planning and driving regulations for commercial vehicles
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
