Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. This role involves performing welding and fitting tasks to support facility operations, equipment maintenance, and production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and leadership skills to oversee projects and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Prior supervisory experience is a plus, along with familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS systems, schematics, and facilities maintenance. Duties
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques to fabricate or repair metal components in accordance with schematics and technical drawings.
- Fit metal parts together accurately, ensuring proper alignment and fit before welding or assembly.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions to execute precise work.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment as needed, utilizing electrical knowledge.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks and system troubleshooting.
- Maintain and update CMMS records for work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
- Supervise or lead small teams during projects or maintenance tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in facilities maintenance activities to support overall plant operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in safety meetings and training sessions regularly.
Skills
- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG, stick) with the ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control.
- Experience with CMMS software for maintenance management.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints accurately.
- Leadership skills with supervisory experience preferred; capable of guiding teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and general manufacturing operations.

- Monday-Saturday, Day Shift
- Weekly Pay
- Overtime after 44 hours
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
