Steelform Incorporated is a rapidly growing volumetric modular design build company, focused on building various modular buildings, and institutional buildings projects across Ontario. With numerous projects won and more on the way, we are building our Construction & Management Team to be the first in hand to see our buildings come to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities as the Machine Operator are to operate the steel printing machines, but you may be involved in every aspect of the production environment including shipping, receiving, assembly of steel structures, loading, and health and safety. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Machine Operation
- Operate the steel forming machines, setting up cold form steel sheet rolls to produce steel panels, steel stud and other accessories.
- Coordinate and control machine output and assembly with direction from the production manager and supervisor.
- Lift and move products from various locations throughout assembly and production process.
- Follow and adhere to machine operation training, procedures and legislation including safe operation, pre-operation inspection, equipment care and general operation procedures.
- Take ownership and accountability to ensure quality production of finished product.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and champion health and safety in everything you do.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience operating CNC Machines or other manufacturing technology.
- Experience setting up and operating roll forming equipment
- 3+ years industry experience in steel pre-fabrication environment or related industry and an ability to read and interpret blue- print drawings will be an asset.
- Light gauge steel work experience would be a definite asset.
- Completion of High School or GED along with post-secondary education
- Valid certification in WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid Level 1 and Forklift.
Compensation
Salary (range Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience)
