We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Baker to lead our culinary team in a dynamic food service environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation
- Oversee cake decorating, baking, and food presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinate food preparation activities, including cooking and packaging of baked goods and other menu items
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Assist in menu development and innovate new recipes to enhance customer experience
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on food industry best practices
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Deliver excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs professionally
- Monitor kitchen operations for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong background in cake decorating, baking, and food preparation
- Knowledge of the food industry standards, including food safety and handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience with kitchen operations, including cooking, packaging, and food presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience with proficiency in food industry best practices is essential
- Food safety certification or training is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to lead by example, motivate staff, and foster a collaborative team environment
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
