MK Martin Enterprises Inc has been in the business of manufacturing farming and agricultural equipment for over 50 years. We are located outside the beautiful town of Elmira. We are a growing company that is looking to expand our team. All of our products are manufactured in house. We are proudly 100% Canadian owned and operated!
We are seeking a Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings. This role involves moving finished goods to trailers, putting away parts and maintaining safety standards in the workplace. The Material Handler will work closely with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Grinding and cutting metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and machinery as required.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move materials and finished products within the facility.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- You may be subject to cross functional duties, responsibilities are subject to change.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in material handling or in a similar role.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery related to welding tasks.
- Familiarity with machining processes and the use of calipers for precise measurements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively.
- Experience with crane operation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to welding operations is essential.
