Job Description:
As a Landscape Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and estimation process for our landscape projects. You will collaborate with clients to transform their visions into beautiful, functional outdoor spaces while ensuring projects are accurately estimated and completed within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design creative and functional landscape plans for residential and commercial properties.
- Meet with clients to discuss project ideas, needs, and budgets.
- Prepare cost estimates, materials lists, and timelines for landscape projects.
- Coordinate with the construction team to ensure the designs are implemented to specifications.
- Use design software to create detailed plans.
- Select materials and plants that complement the client's vision and the environment.
- Conduct site visits and evaluate factors such as topography, soil, and climate.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage time and project deadlines within project budgets.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be located in the Muskoka, Ontario region.
- Degree or certification in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in landscape design and/or estimating.
- Proficiency in design software (SketchUp and Dynascape).
- Ability to manage several projects, deadlines, and budgets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Position Details:
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Work environment: Office/ on site when necessary.
