About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Millwork Installer to join our team for projects across Ontario. This role involves working in a variety of commercial and institutional environments, delivering precise, high-quality millwork installation and finishing work.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful (débrouillard), and capable of working independently in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines and demanding site conditions. Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills are essential.
This position requires flexibility, travel readiness, and the ability to perform in fast-paced construction settings, including long working hours and high-stress project environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install custom millwork systems on commercial and institutional job sites across Ontario
- Perform precise on-site scribing, cutting, trimming, fitting, and finishing
- Modify and adjust millwork components to meet site conditions and design intent
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and installation details
- Deliver high-quality finishing and final adjustments under tight deadlines
- Coordinate with site supervisors, general contractors, and other trades
- Maintain clean, safe, and compliant job sites at all times
- Work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments with evolving site conditions
- Travel regularly throughout Ontario as required
Material Experience Required
Hands-on experience working with a variety of materials, including:
- Veneers and veneer-faced millwork
- Solid wood
- Melamine
- Plastic laminate
- Postformed countertops
- Self-edge countertops
- Solid surface
- Quartz
- General architectural and specialty finish materials
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3–5+ years of millwork installation experience (commercial/institutional preferred)
- Strong skills in finishing, scribing, precision cutting, and on-site adjustments
- Proven ability to work with diverse millwork and surfacing materials
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
- Must be willing and able to travel across Ontario
- Comfortable working long hours, tight deadlines, and high-stress environments
- Must be self-motivated, reliable, and resourceful (débrouillard)
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- CIPIC certification is required for work in schools, courthouses, and secured institutional facilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
