Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Cook dishes according to recipes and restaurant specifications, maintaining consistency and flavor
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure health standards are upheld
- Support the serving staff by ensuring timely delivery of prepared dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and sanitation procedures during food preparation and service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, especially in kitchen roles such as line cook or prep cook
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are desirable
