Skilled Labourer
Position Description:
Be part of a great team with growth focus. Westrade is looking for individuals that have that entrepreneurial spirit, who are accountable, take responsibility and care about our company, our team, and our clients.
The Skilled Labourer is responsible for contributing to best-in-class customer experience by performing general building maintenance and repairs, for a range of clients as assigned by the Project Manager.
Here’s What You’ll be Responsible for:
Complete a variety of activities, including both light and heavy maintenance; this could include repair of all basic carpentry elements, drywall, painting, suspended ceiling, steel stud framing, etc.
Interpret plans and specifications to complete the work.
Complete scheduled inspections with clients as required.
Maintain a daily Log of activities including material, labor, work hours, completion dates, etc.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all work areas; as well as storage areas;
Ensure all areas are free of hazards and where not able to resolve, ensure management are informed for immediate resolution.
Perform all facets of the job in accordance with the legislation applicable to the jurisdiction, including Health and Safety standards, WHMIS, AODA, etc.
Participate in site meetings.
All other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management.

Ability to multitask and prioritize various tasks with conflicting deadlines.

Being in good physical ability and resistance to stress.
Qualification Requirements:
5 years of progressive experience in commercial construction.
Experience in client facing roles
Government of Canada reliability clearance or ability to obtain it.
knowledge of construction equipment, execution standards, work methods used in commercial construction.
Computer literate.
Valid Driver’s license
