We are seeking a reliable and motivated Store Assistant / Forklift Operator to join our auto parts team. The successful candidate will support daily store and warehouse operations, operate a forklift safely, manage inventory, prepare customer orders, and assist with deliveries when required.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move automotive parts and materials.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Assist customers in locating auto parts and processing orders.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and store.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues.
- Assist with local deliveries or pickups as required.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence (Mandatory).
- Valid Forklift Certification (Mandatory).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, retail, or auto parts environment.
- Experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and inventory management experience.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive or truck parts industry.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
Pay: $18.03-$21.00 per hour
