Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shingler/Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be comfortable with physical activity, and possess basic construction skills. Prior experience with hand tools, carpentry, or handyman work is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing while contributing to quality project completion.
Responsibilities
- Assist with shingling and roofing installation according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and drills to support roofing tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate work
- Apply caulking and sealing materials as needed for waterproofing and insulation
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in roofing is preferred
- Drivers license
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of blueprint reading is advantageous but not required
- Strong attention to safety procedures and workplace regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with caulking or roofing is a plus but not mandatory
Pay: $20.00-$38.68 per hour
