Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and repair of pipelines, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires proficiency in operating various tools and equipment, as well as a strong understanding of pipeline construction and maintenance.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair pipelines for water, sewage, gas, or other utilities.
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes and bucket trucks to dig trenches and lay pipes.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Conduct low voltage electrical work as needed during installations.
- Perform site preparation by digging trenches and rigging for pipe placement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Troubleshoot issues related to pipeline installation and repair.
Experience
- Proven experience in pipelaying or related construction fields required.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including backhoe operation and bucket operation.
- Ability to work with various tools, including power tools and hand tools.
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to pipeline installation is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on job site location.
