Position Details
Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking a Journeyperson HVAC Technician for work at our Shell Scotford project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
- Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
- Schedule Rotation: Monday to Friday
- Hourly Rate: $55.78
- Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
What You Will Be Working On
- Inspect, repair and installation of HVAC equipment including refrigeration
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspection of refrigeration units, isolated heating, and ventilation units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls including thermostat, motors, controls, compressors, heat exchanger, pressure controls and safety valves
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, brazing torch, vacuum pumps, meter and test equipment utilized in the trade. Maintain equipment in effective and safe working condition, maintain parts and tool inventory
- Test and examine boiler operation, observing pressure gauges and temperatures
- Best trade practices for leak testing, system repairs and system start-ups
- Recover and recharge systems with refrigerant
- Preferred experience in Building Automation and Pneumatic Control System
What We Are Looking For
- Valid Driver's License (not GDL)
- Valid Journeyperson Certificate
- Valid HRAI Refrigerant Handling Certificate
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Must be clean-shaven
- All candidates must be able to produce a negative result on a drug and alcohol test.
- Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
- The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
- Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
