We are a premium art school in Vancouver dedicated to inspiring creativity and preparing students for top-tier global art institutions. We are seeking a creative, organized, and data-minded Part-Time Marketing Specialist to promote our programs, summer camps, and vibrant student community to local families, particularly within the Chinese and multicultural communities.
While this position is open to all qualified applicants, candidates who meet the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) eligibility criteria will be highly prioritized. This role is ideal for a market-savvy professional or ambitious student who understands both Western and Chinese social media platforms, excels at storytelling, and can navigate digital marketing trends with ease.
Position Details

Responsibilities
- Social Media & Content Operations: Manage, plan, and create high-quality daily/weekly content for major social media platforms, including Xiaohongshu (Rednote), WeChat Channels/Private Domains, and Instagram (Reels/Posts).
- Storytelling & Branding: Transform school curriculum, student activities, campus events, and prestigious university portfolio success stories into engaging, high-converting marketing content.
- Bilingual Copywriting: Write, edit, and proofread compelling marketing copy fluently in both English and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) tailored to different audience demographics.
- AI & Tech Integration: Utilize and refine AI-generated content (copywriting, visual elements, or video workflows) using strong marketing judgment and aesthetic sense to maximize output efficiency.
- Outreach Support: Assist the team in local community engagement, partner outreach, and promoting our signature community events (e.g., Art Moves).
Qualifications & Selection Criteria
Core Requirements (All Applicants):
- Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), both written and spoken. Excellent bilingual narrative skills are required.
- Platform Savvy: Deep understanding of Xiaohongshu, WeChat ecosystem, and Instagram algorithms, with a proven ability to capture "网感" (internet sense) and audience hooks.
- Technical Tools: Experience with video/image editing tools (e.g., CapCut/剪映, Canva, Photoshop, or Final Cut Pro) is highly preferred.
- Mindset: Highly independent, reliable with deadlines, detail-oriented, and passionate about arts education.
CSJ Eligibility (Highly Prioritized): Candidates who meet the following Canada Summer Jobs criteria will be given top priority for funding purposes:
- Age: Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Legal Status: A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. (Note: Holders of temporary work permits/student visas are welcome to apply, but will be processed under normal payroll if selected).
