Overview
We are seeking a motivated labourer to assist with a large commercial project in Balzac. This position involves consistent lifting and moving of materials on site both on the roof and on ground. These materials include aluminum racking, modules, and ballast blocks. The ideal candidate will be familiar with manual labour and safe lifting techniques, possess a positive attitude, and be physically fit and able to lift 40+ lbs repeatedly. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the largest rooftop solar projects in Western Canada while working outside in a dynamic and safety-conscious environment.
Responsibilities
- Move materials and concrete blocks to various specified locations on site, following a predetermined path.
- Follow safe lifting procedures and abide by site safety policies.
- Follow instructions for material placement.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to move materials form point A to point B safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
Experience
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Experience with moderate manual labour.
- Ability to adapt to various site conditions and physically demanding work.
- Physically fit and able to lift, squat and stand for long durations. Move 40lb + repeatedly.
- Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship.
- Construction experience an asset.
- Prior experience in solar an asset.
Expected start date: April 27.
