About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Class 1 licensed truck driver to haul flatbed loads on our established BC-to-Oregon corridor. You'll operate late-model automatic transmission trucks and be responsible for the safe, on-time delivery of freight across the Canada–US border. Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 automatic transmission trucks on BC to Oregon flatbed runs
- Safely load, secure, and tarp flatbed freight in compliance with regulations
- Complete all Canada–US border crossing documentation accurately
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR)
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
- Adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations (Canadian & US FMCSA)
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status and delays
- Maintain a clean, professional driving record at all times
Requirements
- Valid BC Class 1 driver's license (or equivalent provincial Class 1)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience
- Valid FAST card or ability to obtain one (NEXUS an asset)
- Clean driving abstract — no more than 2 minor convictions in the past 3 years
- Flatbed experience preferred; open to training candidates with strong safety record
- Ability to operate a tarp system and use load securement equipment
- Comfortable with cross-border travel, customs processes, and documentation
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Must be legally eligible to enter the United States
