Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall food service process. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with attention to presentation, quality, and consistency
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Assist with food plating and garnishing for service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy periods
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to ensure customer satisfaction
- Stock ingredients and supplies as required, notifying management of shortages
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety procedures within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent understanding of kitchen operations and food industry best practices
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions accurately
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable for success in this role
