Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various related systems, including plumbing, welding, boilers, and appliance repair. The technician will play a vital role in providing reliable climate control solutions for residential or commercial clients, contributing to the comfort and safety of our customers.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain air conditioning units and HVAC systems in accordance with industry standards.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems as needed, including pipe fitting and leak repairs.
- Utilize welding skills for system repairs or modifications when necessary.
- Service boilers and other mechanical components associated with climate control systems.
- Perform appliance repairs related to HVAC equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and system updates for client files.
- Adhere to safety protocols and building codes during all installation and repair activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or mechanic with a strong understanding of HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience with construction or maintenance work related to climate control systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
- Valid mechanic license or relevant certifications are a plus.
