This position will report directly to the Senior Property Manager and work closely alongside the Property Management Team across a portfolio of residential and commercial properties throughout Hamilton and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning common areas in apartment buildings
- Cleaning small residential buildings consisting of hallways and stairwells
- In-suite cleaning and unit turnovers / move-out cleaning
- Cleaning head office and commercial property spaces as required
- Garbage and debris removal
- Light exterior upkeep including yards, pathways, entrances, and lease-up presentation areas
- Ensuring all properties remain clean, presentable, and tenant-ready
- Reporting maintenance concerns, damages, safety hazards, or by-law concerns to management
- Following designated cleaning charts, inspection schedules, and property routines
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and SOPs established by the Senior Property Manager
- Current Portfolio Expectations:
- Approximately 15–20 unit turnovers / suite cleans per month
- Cleaning and upkeep responsibilities across approximately 13 RentSafe / Apartment Safe properties
- Additional work, responsibilities, or property assignments may be added at the discretion of the Senior Property Manager based on operational needs
Requirements:
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible schedule and availability
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Ability to travel between properties
- Able to work independently and efficiently
- Comfortable using mobile applications and company software
- Must have access to a reliable mobile device for day-to-day communication and operations
- Required to utilize company platforms including:
- Buildium
- ClockShark
- Monday.com
- HappyCo Inspection Reports
- Required to use ClockShark to clock in and out of properties and track daily work activity
- Experience using the Google platform (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and professional email etiquette
- General knowledge of municipal by-laws, including:
- Property Standards
- Apartment building maintenance expectations
- Hamilton Apartment Safe / RentSafe programs
- Previous cleaning or property maintenance experience considered an asset

Experience
- Previous experience in residential cleaning or hospitality is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Demonstrated time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Good interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
