We help our customers get through losses after fire, water, wind, hail, natural disasters, mould, vehicle impact and more! We are there for our customers and help them through their property damage. Every disaster is different, our day to day operations are never the same. Here are some of the tasks a Restoration (Water & Fire) Technician does at Winmar:
- Extract standing water, Categories 1, 2 & 3
- Removal of wet building materials such as flooring, drywall, cabinets, trims, insulation etc.
- Structural drying – drying building materials in place
- Moving, packing, sorting and listing of contents to facilitate emergency services
- Moisture readings and moisture mapping
- Setup drying equipment and monitor the drying process
- Keeping our worksites clean
Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. As we are an emergency service business, we can’t predict when disasters will happen. Therefore, all our technicians are required to be on an on call afterhours rotation. Must have a valid drivers license. We offer a flexible benefit program, RRSP matching, bonuses and on call pay.
Training that is essential to a lead technician:
- Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
- Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)
- Odor Control Technician (OCT)
- Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
- Trauma & Crime Scene Technician (TCST)
- Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
- Asbestos Worker & Supervisor
