TYBO Contracting Project Accountant

The Project Accountant plays a vital role in the administration of a project and is part of the overall Project Management team working closely with both the Project Manager and any Project Coordinators assigned to a specific project.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Issuing of approved purchase orders to the field and vendors through accounting software.
- In consultation with Project Coordinators, managing sub-contractors progress via sub-contractor progress payment module.
- Scanning and indexing all supporting documents such as track tickets, bill of lading, etc.
- Processing of invoices for approval by entering invoices into accounting software and by matching supporting documents.
- As directed by the Project Coordinator/ Project Manager to address all invoice discrepancies to ensure proper costs are being coded to the job.
- Prepare and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Collaborate with project managers to analyze project costs and variances, providing insights and recommendations for cost control measures
- Support the project team in forecasting project costs and revenue, identifying potential risks or opportunities
- Assist in the preparation of project billing invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract terms
- When applicable assist with tracking & facilitate live-out payments to eligible crew members.
- Review and or assembly of man hours for payroll
- Working with the Project Coordinator/ Project Manager issuing progress invoicing
- Entering of all billing change orders and proposed changes into accounting software.
- Follow up of all outstanding payments greater than 30 days.
- Completing all final billing and the issuance of substantial completion
- Provide feedback to Senior Finance Lead and Project Director of project performance.
- As directed by the Project Coordinator/ Project Manager to support with all project submittals.
- Work with Accounts Payables Supervisor for vendor payment and invoice processing as assigned.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
