Job Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Montessori Guides certified by MACTE or AMI to join our early childhood education team for the Infant/Toddler and Casa Programs. These role involves guiding children in Infant/Toddler and Casa classrooms, fostering a nurturing, stimulating, and respectful learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a deep understanding of Montessori principles. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to support our diverse student community. Duties
- Facilitate child-centered learning activities aligned with Montessori methods for Infant/Toddler and Casa age groups
- Observe and assess individual children's developmental progress to tailor educational approaches
- Maintain a prepared environment that promotes independence, exploration, and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum plans that meet developmental needs
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and milestones
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children in the classroom at all times
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, meal times, and rest periods
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
Experience
- Certification from MACTE or AMI in Montessori Infant/Toddler or Casa programs is required
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings is essential
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French enhances communication within our diverse community
- Demonstrated leadership skills, organizational abilities, and effective time management are important
- Strong writing skills for documentation and parent communication are necessary
- Familiarity with computer operation, classroom management software, and educational tools is preferred
