About the role
This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who wants to build a real career in project operations — not shuffle paper. We’re a specialized engineering and manufacturing company delivering complex electrical systems to major mining projects across the Americas. Our projects are high-value, technically demanding, and time-critical.
We’re looking for a sharp, driven coordinator to own the operational backbone of our shop — schedule, budget tracking, issue management, and production meeting cadence. This is an internal-facing role; you’ll work directly alongside our engineering and operations leads, not with clients. If you’re organized to a fault, fluent in Excel, and you get satisfaction from making a complex operation run tighter, read on.
What this role actually is
Manufacturing is deadline-driven. When a milestone is approaching, the schedule doesn’t care what time it is. We offer flexibility on when you start and end your day, and we pay at the top of the market for this role — because we expect a results mindset, not a clock-watching one. When things are moving, you move with them.
In return, you’ll learn more about how complex industrial projects are built and managed than you would in five years at a desk job. People who perform here move up.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update the manufacturing schedule daily — reflecting real progress, shifting priorities, and resource constraints across active builds
- Own the open issues log: capture, assign, and drive resolution of all action items from daily standups and weekly production meetings
- Prepare agendas and minutes for production meetings; hold the team accountable to commitments between sessions
- Track project budgets and cost-to-complete; flag variances before they become problems
- Build and maintain Excel-based tracking tools, dashboards, and reports used by operations leadership
- Coordinate across engineering, procurement, and shop floor to knock down scheduling conflicts and keep builds on track
- Keep internal project documentation current: work packages, change logs, delivery milestones, and procurement status
What we need from you
- Advanced Excel — you build workbooks from scratch, you know pivot tables, structured data, and formulas, and you take pride in clean, functional spreadsheets. This is the core tool of the role.
- Fluent written and spoken English — cross-team communication is constant and clarity matters
- Exceptional organization — you track what others forget, you follow up without being asked, and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
- A bias for action — you see a gap and close it; you don’t wait to be told twice
- Comfortable in a hands-on industrial environment; manufacturing or construction exposure is a bonus, not a requirement
- Diploma or degree in business, operations, engineering technology, or equivalent practical experience — we care more about what you can do than what’s on your transcript
What we offer
- $60,000 – $65,000 CAD base, commensurate with what you bring
- On-site in Coquitlam — this is a manufacturing environment; remote is not on the table
- Rapid learning curve alongside engineers and project managers running real, complex projects
- A clear path upward for people who perform
