Letcar Auto Ltd. is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Mechanic in Fort McMurray, Alberta to join our growing team and provide high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services. This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced mechanic who takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service with every repair.
The successful candidate must be courteous, punctual, accountable for the quality of their work, and adaptable. We are looking for someone with strong diagnostic and repair abilities who is committed to completing repairs safely, efficiently, and correctly the first time.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of automotive systems and components
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical, wiring, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and brake systems
- Complete vehicle diagnostics using computerized diagnostic equipment
- Read and interpret manufacturer manuals, drawings, and repair procedures
- Perform road tests to verify repairs and identify issues
- Complete daily work orders, inspection reports, and paperwork accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools safely and effectively
- Communicate clearly with team members and management regarding repairs and timelines
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company policies
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of mechanic experience (required)
- Journeyman Trade Certificate (required)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer and internet literacy
- Valid Class 5 and Clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Education:
