We are looking for full time Early Childhood Assistant to join our team.
The selected candidate must have the ability to travel between our locations within Ajax, Whitby, Brooklin & Oshawa. The selected candidate will work with all age groups.
Full time employment Monday to Friday - 35- 40 hours a week.
Must be able to accommodate both straight shifts and split shifts.
Benefit Package after 6-month probationary period
Paid Personal Days after 6-month probationary period
Requirements:
Acknowledges and responds to the needs of each child
Assist the Registered Early Childhood Educator in planning and implementing a program that follows the lead of the children and creates an inclusive and stimulating environment to encourage each child to explore and learn on various topics of interest
Maintains open and regular communication with co-workers
Ability to communicate verbally and written
Demonstrates skills working as a team player
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Attend and participate in all program /centre meetings and events as required
Qualifications:
Valid Certificate for CPR and Standard First Aid
Up to date immunizations including 2 step TB (Tuberculosis) test.
Criminal background check including vulnerable sector
Early Childhood Education Assistant diploma or Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years act is considered an asset
