Overview
We are seeking a talented custom Kitchen Designer to join Barlow Cabinet Works growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design, and customer service, with the ability to create high end customized kitchen, bath, and closet design solutions that meet clients’ needs and preferences. This role involves working closely with clients to develop innovative designs, manage projects from concept to completion, and promote high-end kitchen products. Experience in renovation or construction are a plus. The Kitchen Designer will play a key role in delivering exceptional and innovative drawings for clients and production
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget for kitchen renovations or new installations.
- Utilize design software such as SketchUp and CAD to create detailed kitchen layouts and visualizations.
- Assist customers in selecting materials, finishes, appliances, and fixtures that align with their style and functional requirements.
- Manage the sales process including inside sales, outside sales, POS transactions, cash handling, and account management.
- Negotiate project timelines to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting company goals.
- Coordinate with renovation or construction teams as needed to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and maintaining ongoing client relationships.
Experience
- Familiarity with kitchen design software such as SketchUp, CAD, Mosaik, is preferred.
- excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Background in renovation or construction projects is desirable.
- Knowledge of POS systems, product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and basic math skills for measurements and estimates.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in customer service roles within retail or specialized sales environments is highly valued. Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
