Traffic Control Security Guard
Location : Port Hope ON Route
Wage : $20.00/hour
We are currently hiring Traffic Control Security Guards for the Port Hope ON Route location. This position is ideal for dependable, professional individuals who are comfortable working outdoors and assisting with traffic management and site safety.
As this is a public-facing role, candidates must be customer service oriented with a polite and professional disposition when interacting with the public, staff, and visitors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely and efficiently
- Maintain a strong security presence on site
- Monitor and report any incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity
- Assist with traffic flow and site operations
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to the public
- Follow all site safety and security procedures
- Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and visitors
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid CPR Certification
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the site
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including hot environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Polite, professional, and approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Previous security or traffic control experience is considered an asset
Job Details:
- Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Full-time and part-time shifts available
- Day shift weekends Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holiday Mondays
