As an electric motor systems technician, you will test, rewind, recondition, rebuild, and service electric motors, coils, and similar equipment.
- Rebuild, refurbish and repair electric AC and DC motors
- Assemble and test electric motor and generator stators, armatures, or rotors
- Inspect cores for defects and align laminations
- Test windings for motor-housing clearance, grounds, and short circuits
- Test reconditioned motors and similar electro-mechanical equipment
- Manufacture new coils for armatures, stators, or rotors of used motors and generators
- Rewind coils
- Test and observe electrical and mechanical condition of equipment
- Replace shafts, bearings, commutators and other components
- Mechanical removal/disassembly or inspection of equipment at customer sites
- Rewinding of single phase and three phase motors
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by management
- 5 years' experience rewinding and servicing electric AC and DC motors
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Able to lift/position heavy motor components
- Able to follow basic health and safety procedures and protocols
- Good communication skills and writing skills (English)
