Indoor Season Team Coaching Opportunities
Calgary West Football Club
Calgary West Football Club is seeking team head coaches for the upcoming indoor season across our development and performance programs, with additional opportunities available within our grassroots program.
Head coaches will be responsible for an assigned team or teams throughout the season, including planning and delivering training, supporting individual and team development, managing matchdays, building a positive team culture, and communicating consistently with players and families.
We are looking for development-minded coaches who are passionate about long-term player development, learning-centered environments, and age-appropriate coaching practices. Coaches must be willing to work within a clear Club framework, collaborate with other coaches and technical staff, and contribute to a consistent player experience across CWFC.
Minimum and preferred qualifications
- Canada Soccer C and B License or equivalent foreign qualification.
- Relevant academic qualifications in coaching, sport science, physical education, or a related field are preferred.
- Ability to complete all required background screening and Safe Sport requirements.
Coaching expectations
- Plan and deliver structured, developmentally appropriate, and game-based sessions.
- Prioritise long-term player development over short-term results.
- Work within the CWFC coaching framework and playing principles.
- Evaluate players consistently and record observations through PlayMetrics.
- Collaborate with other coaches and technical staff on player development and team placement.
- Communicate professionally with players, families, and Club staff.
- Hold appropriate team and parent meetings.
- Participate in Club coaching clinics and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct and player welfare.

Season information
- The indoor season runs from October to March.
- Training takes place primarily in northwest Calgary.
- League games are played across the city.
- Coaches must be available for scheduled team training, games, and relevant Club meetings.
