Position Summary
The Automotive Sales Representative is responsible for assisting customers throughout the vehicle purchasing process, from initial inquiry to delivery. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, generate sales opportunities, and consistently achieve sales targets while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable vehicle options.
- Conduct vehicle presentations and test drives.
- Explain vehicle features, specifications, warranties, and financing options.
- Follow up with leads through phone calls, emails, text messages, and CRM activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of vehicle inventory and automotive market trends.
- Negotiate vehicle pricing and prepare purchase agreements.
- Work closely with the Finance & Insurance department to facilitate transactions.
- Deliver sold vehicles and ensure customers understand vehicle operation and features.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to generate repeat and referral business.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and performance objectives.
- Maintain compliance with OMVIC, MVDA, dealership policies, and applicable regulations.
QualificationsRequired
- Previous sales experience preferred (automotive sales experience is an asset).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- OMVIC Certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
Preferred
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Knowledge of automotive financing and leasing products.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
