Job Summary
Deconstructors Demolition is looking for an experienced Seasonal Demolition Foreman to help lead upcoming projects in the Victoria area.
This is a great opportunity for someone who knows demolition, understands jobsite coordination, and can confidently lead a crew while keeping safety, productivity, and quality at the front of every project. We have steady project work expected over the next couple of months, with the potential for continued full-time employment depending on upcoming project availability.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, safety-minded, and able to keep crews moving efficiently while communicating clearly with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and team members.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Demolition Foreman, you will be responsible for helping run day-to-day site operations on demolition and deconstruction projects. Duties may include:
- Supervising and coordinating daily demolition activities on site.
- Leading labourers and crew members with clear direction and expectations.
- Planning work based on project scope, drawings, site conditions, and instructions from management.
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
- Reviewing drawings, layouts, scopes of work, and site documents as needed.
- Coordinating tools, equipment, materials, bins, and site logistics.
- Monitoring productivity and helping keep projects on schedule.
- Completing site documentation, daily notes, photos, safety paperwork, and progress updates.
- Communicating with project managers regarding site progress, changes, issues, and needs.
- Supporting quality control and ensuring work areas are kept safe, clean, and organized.
- Enforcing company safety procedures and WorkSafeBC requirements.
- Helping identify opportunities for salvage, recycling, and responsible material handling where applicable.
- Follow and use the company’s internal operating system for daily reporting, project logs, site updates, photos, safety documentation, and communication with management.
What We’re Looking For
The right candidate will have:
- Previous experience supervising demolition, deconstruction, or construction crews.
- Strong working knowledge of demolition practices, jobsite safety, and site coordination.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, scopes of work, and construction documents.
- Confidence leading a crew and keeping work moving without sacrificing safety.
- Strong communication skills with workers, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to problem-solve on site and escalate issues when needed.
- Comfort completing basic site documentation and using digital tools.
- Experience with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and perform physically demanding work when required.

- Asbestos or hazardous materials awareness.
- Equipment operating experience.
- Experience with selective demolition, structural demolition, concrete removal, or deconstruction.
- Experience working on commercial, institutional, or multi-phase projects.
