We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Assist the dentist during procedures as required, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Maintain sterilization of instruments and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all patients.
- Experience working in a dental office setting is preferred, with familiarity in using Dentrix software being advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience in pediatrics is beneficial for working with younger patients.
- Skills in dental assisting can enhance support during procedures.
- Understanding of orthodontics can be an asset when providing care for patients with braces or other orthodontic appliances.
