Our client is seeking an experienced Fitter Welder to join their team in Windsor, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience in metal fabrication, welding, and blueprint reading who is looking for stable, long-term employment with overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical drawings.
- Measure, fit, and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of fabricated components.
- Build and assemble weldments while maintaining high quality standards.
- Work accurately with both metric and imperial measurements.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality requirements.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fitter Welder or in a similar fabrication role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Experience fitting and assembling fabricated steel components.
- Comfortable working with both metric and imperial measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy materials safely.
Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday
- 45–55 hours per week
- 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
- Overtime available
