Industrial Painter

Southampton Industrial designs and manufactures custom HVAC equipment and control panels for customers in Canada, the United States and Europe. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified and manufactures a wide range of equipment for both general purpose and Class 1 Zone 2 areas.

Responsibilities
The Industrial Painter is required to meet daily and weekly goals while adhering to the requirements of the company's quality management system.
Painters must apply a wide variety of coating types and at varying thicknesses according to customer requirements. Equipment being coated is custom and has many different configurations and dimensions. The ability to adapt to continuously changing equipment is important.
Tasks include:
- caulking of panel seams on equipment casings
- various surface preparation techniques
- masking and protection of uncoated surfaces
- operation of power tools during preparation
- operation of HVLP spray equipment
- verification and testing of surface preparation
- measuring of coating thicknesses
- general painting equipment maintenance
The pay rate is based on the level of experience of the applicant. Experience painting custom HVAC equipment will be given additional consideration.
A $1,500 signing bonus is payable to successful applicant after completion of the standard probationary period.
