Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Liquor Store Clerk to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions and cash handling
- Maintain knowledge of products to provide product demos and upselling opportunities
- Ensure the store is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing through merchandising
- Verify legal age for alcohol purchase and adhere to all relevant regulations
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Process returns, exchanges, and handle cash register operations efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and checkout area
- Promote store promotions and special offers to enhance sales
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills is advantageous
- Multilingual or bilingual skills (e.g., English plus another language) are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Strong communication skills, time management, and organizational skills are essential
- Experience in merchandising or product demos can be beneficial
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
