My client, a well-established consumer goods and e-commerce company with incredible stability and longevity — over 50 years in existence — continues to reinvent themselves and grow. Now entering a significant phase of international expansion, including new market entry across Europe, this is a privately held, product-based business operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a strong and accelerating growth trajectory.
The Opportunity
This is not only a day-to-day accounting role. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a strategic finance leadership position for someone who has operated at the intersection of financial rigor, operational performance, and business growth. You will own the finance function end-to-end and serve as a true partner to the executive team as the company scales globally.
If you have led treasury functions, driven cost reduction initiatives, managed vendor relationships, identified enterprise-level risks, and influenced strategic decisions — this role was built for you.
What You Will Own
-
Full accounting and finance operations, including month-end and year-end close
-
Treasury oversight, cash flow management, and working capital optimization
-
Financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
-
AP, AR, payroll oversight, and vendor management
-
Enterprise-level risk identification and mitigation
-
Cost control and operational optimization initiatives
-
International expansion support — tax compliance, multi-jurisdiction reconciliations, and regulatory requirements
-
Coordination with external accounting and advisory firms for global compliance
-
Internal controls design, implementation, and continuous improvement
-
Strategic stakeholder relationships — owning and driving key financial partnerships
-
Direct partnership with the CEO and leadership team on financial strategy and business direction
Who You Are
-
CPA designation (Canada) required
-
Minimum 5 years of people management experience + 5 years in a Controller type role

-
Demonstrated experience in treasury, cash management, and vendor oversight
-
Track record of identifying business risks and driving cost reduction and process improvement initiatives

-
Opportunity to shape and scale the finance function during a pivotal international expansion
