We are excited to share an opportunity to join the Mutual Funds team as an Analyst. The team is responsible for the full end-to-end operation of the firm’s pooled funds, including trade processing, unitholder recordkeeping, fund accounting support, and valuation oversight. The role is ideal for a detail oriented, analytical problem-solver seeking a broad exposure to the investment management cycle. You will also have the opportunity to proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to create efficiency in the team.
Job Description:
Trading and Recordkeeping:
- Responsible for trade processing of pooled funds using the proprietary trade monitoring system, liaising with custodians and resolving trade related issues.
- Manage account opening and maintenance as well as coordinating transfers with custodians.
- Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
Investor and Custodian Liaison:
- Respond to queries from operational teams, custodians and portfolio managers on fund related or unitholder information.
- Work closely with the custodians on managing estate settlement, registered accounts (RSP, RIF, LIF, TFSA, FHSA), systematic plans and tax slips.
Fund Accounting & Valuation Exposure:
- Provide support for the team on reconciliation, NAV calculation and inquiries, financial reporting and audit NAV related issues.
Process Improvement:
- Proactively identify opportunities to use technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and improve operational efficiency.
- Keen interest to proactively review end-to-end processes and bring external experience to improve workflows.
Job Qualifications:
- Industry knowledge: 3+ years in an operations-focused role, preferably with related experience in investment, bank or fund operations.
- Operations Experience: Managing and assisting some aspects of operations such as trading, transfers (incoming/outgoing) and unitholder recordkeeping is an asset.
- Financial Knowledge: Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics. Solid understanding of investment types and accounts (ex. RSP, RIF, LIF, TFSA, FHSA). Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is considered an asset.
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced MS Office skills especially with Excel. Experience with APX and Salesforce CRM is an asset.

- Competitive Compensation Package: Salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, with flexibility for exceptional candidates with highly relevant experience. Compensation will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity; includes RRSP contribution, extended health benefits from day of joining (no waiting period), and three weeks’ vacation, annually.
