Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assess their optical needs through active listening and consultation
- Assist customers in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories that suit their preferences and prescriptions
- Maintain knowledge of current optical products, trends, and technological advancements
- Process sales transactions accurately using retail management systems such as Epic
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and tracking product levels
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure proper fitting and adjustments of eyewear
- Keep the sales area clean, organized, and inviting to enhance the customer experience
- Stay informed about medical terminology related to vision care to better assist patients with prescriptions and healthcare needs
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required
- Laboratory experience or optical experience is a plus, providing familiarity with eyewear fitting and adjustments
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to vision care enhances ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
- Experience working with laboratory equipment or optical management software such as Epic is advantageous
- Background in retail management or sales demonstrates leadership potential and customer engagement skills
