Event Chef Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality food preparation and presentation for a variety of events
- Work across different service styles including plated dinners, canapés, buffet, and family-style service
- Ensure consistency, quality, and timing of all dishes during service
- Assist with on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation at all times
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
- Adapt quickly to different venues, kitchen setups, and event needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience (catering or events preferred)
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Legal to work in Canada
- Food Safe Certification
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lb
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
