Jack Pine Electric is a growing residential electrical company based in Okotoks, Alberta. We do service work — panel upgrades, EV chargers, potlights, troubleshooting, renos, suites. We do not do new construction, commercial, or industrial. If that's your background, this isn't the right fit.
We're looking for one experienced journeyman who can walk into a home, diagnose a problem, talk to a homeowner professionally, and get the job done right — with a permit, on time, without callbacks.
WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
- Residential service calls across Calgary and Okotoks
- Panel upgrades, EV charger installs, pot lights, troubleshooting, renovation work, suite rough-ins
- Working independently on most jobs — no handholding
- Customer-facing: you represent the company at every visit
- All work permitted under Alberta Safety Codes — non-negotiable
YOU'RE THE RIGHT PERSON IF:
- Valid Alberta Journeyman Electrician certificate or Red Seal
- Residential service experience — not just new builds, not commercial
- Can troubleshoot independently without being walked through it
- Clean, professional, communicates well with homeowners
- You care about quality and don't cut corners
- Own vehicle
- You understand that billable hours matter
YOU'RE NOT THE RIGHT PERSON IF:
- Your entire experience is tract home construction or commercial/industrial
- You need constant supervision
- You've left previous jobs with a trail of callbacks
- You're looking for the easiest way to get through the day
WHAT WE OFFER:
- $38–$42/hr depending on experience
