Stars Corner Daycare & OSC is a brand-new, state-of-the-art childcare center located in Southwest Edmonton at #154 9080 25 Ave SW. We serve children between the ages of 12 months and 12 years, providing a warm and nurturing environment where children can thrive and grow. We are currently seeking both part-time and full-time early learning and childcare educators to join our team and help shape the future of our young charges.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 12 months to 12 years old
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum based on children's interests and development
- Document and observe children's progress, and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- Encourage children to build strong relationships, develop problem-solving skills, and engage in outdoor play
- Follow health and safety protocols, using a variety of tools including daily observation forms, sanitary practices forms, medication forms, and environmental assessment tools
- Provide flexible program planning, and help children build strong relationships and problem-solving skills
Requirements:
- Child Developmental Assistant/Worker/Supervisor certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and knowledge in documentation and observation
- Knowledge of FLIGHT - Alberta early learning and care framework
- A good understanding of and appreciation for the early learning and child care profession
- A Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search within the last 90 days
- A valid First Aid certificate related to child care, or a willingness to obtain one
- A highly energetic, effective, organized, and enthusiastic approach
