About Us
Powered Electric Niagara is a residential electrical contractor serving homeowners across the Niagara Region. We specialize in custom home builds, renovations, and service work, and we've built our reputation on quality craftsmanship and treating every home like it's our own. We're looking for a licensed 309A Electrician to join our growing team.
The Role
This is a hands-on residential position — you'll be working directly in clients' homes, on new custom builds, and on renovation projects throughout the Niagara area. Because we work so closely with homeowners, this role is as much about people skills as it is about electrical skills. You'll often be the face of our company on-site, so being comfortable, professional, and personable with clients in their own homes is essential.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and custom home settings, from rough-in through final trim
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications for custom home projects
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in occupied homes with minimal disruption to homeowners
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, general contractors, and other trades on-site
- Explain work being performed, answer client questions, and provide a positive on-site experience
- Ensure all work meets the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (ESA) and obtain necessary permits/inspections
- Maintain a clean, respectful, and safe work environment inside clients' homes
- Accurately track materials, time, and job progress for billing and reporting
- Mentor apprentices and support junior team members on-site as needed
Qualifications
- Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician license (Ontario)
- Proven experience in residential wiring; custom home or new construction experience is a strong asset
- Solid understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and ESA permit process
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in occupied homes and around homeowners' families and belongings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — friendly, respectful, and easy to talk to
- Professional appearance and conduct; punctual and reliable
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time on residential job sites
What We're Looking For
Beyond technical skill, we need someone who genuinely enjoys working with people. Our clients invite us into their homes and trust us with one of their biggest investments — the right candidate treats every home and every homeowner with care, patience, and respect, and takes pride in leaving a great impression as well as great work.
