We are looking for a Journeyperson or Apprentice who has at least One Year of experience working in a salon.
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Journeyperson Hairstylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hairstylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while ensuring a welcoming and positive experience for all clients. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers will be essential to promoting our services and products.
Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, colors, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
- Sanitize tools and workstations to maintain cleanliness and adhere to health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients, understanding their preferences, and offering professional advice on hair care.
- Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience and meet sales goals.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling techniques and products to provide informed recommendations.
- Maintain an organized workspace and ensure all supplies are stocked.
Requirements
- Must Have at least One Year of experience/ Past experience from other salons.
- Valid cosmetology license or certification as required by provincial regulations.
- Proven experience in hair styling, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Experience in retail sales is a plus, however not a requirement, particularly in upselling products related to hair care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A positive attitude, professionalism, and a passion for the beauty industry are essential for success in this role.
