Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation, in coordination with CTS Youth Society, is looking for (2) Visitor-Use Management and Education Technicians to collect data from 3 regional parks this summer. Additionally, technicians will conduct education and outreach activities at Pacific Spirit Regional Park. This is a part-time, temporary role, consisting of an average of 24-32 hours of work a week. Technicians will collect data on visitor use at Pacific Spirit Regional Park, Burnaby Lake Regional Park, and Tynehead Regional Park. This in-person role offers a chance for you to spend your summer outdoors and connect with the diverse people accessing and supporting our regional parks.

End Date: September 7, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and delivers program activities, workshops, and events that align with participant needs and organizational goals.
- Daily management of program resources, materials, and inventory.
- Collects and analyzes program data (surveys, attendance) to measure effectiveness and creates regular progress reports for management.
- Participate in various events on weekends and select early evenings.
- Support other duties as required to contribute to the overall success of the Foundation’s programming and development initiatives (event and boothing setup assistance, etc.)
Qualifications:
- A deep passion for nature, wildlife, and people.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively coordinate with program partners and administer and track program deliverables.
- Previous experience with outdoor education programs, monitoring programs, data collection, or previous experience working within non-profit organizations.
- Ability to work weekends and select weekdays.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

- Access to a vehicle (you will be reimbursed for gas mileage and paid for your travel time to and from the regional parks).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Flexibility to travel to different regional park locations as required.
- Flexibility to work most weekends and some evenings
- Must be able to fulfill all Canada Summer Jobs requirements:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment and
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
