Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, take accurate orders, and ensure a memorable dining experience. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, along with a solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. The Server will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, upselling menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages
- Assist with food handling and preparation when necessary, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and timely service
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Provide guest services that promote customer satisfaction and encourage repeat visits
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS and basic math skills for cash handling and billing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and food industry standards
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent guest service skills with a hospitable attitude
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting while ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Basic understanding of food preparation, serving techniques, and hospitality principles
- Upselling skills to recommend additional menu items confidently
