Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will manage administrative tasks, coordinate patient services, and ensure smooth office workflow. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with dental and medical office procedures, and experience in human resources management. The Dental Administrator plays a vital role in maintaining efficient office operations while providing excellent support to both staff and patients.
Duties
- Manage patient scheduling, billing, and record keeping using clear dent and electronic medical records systems
- Oversee front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out and insurance processing
- Supervise administrative staff, providing training and performance evaluations
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
- Coordinate with dental providers to ensure smooth daily operations
- Handle human resources functions such as staffing, onboarding, and employee records management
- Assist with budgeting, supply ordering, and inventory control
- Ensure the office adheres to infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Support patient education by explaining treatment plans and billing information
- Collaborate with medical professionals if applicable, especially in hospital or acute care settings
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental office administration or medical office management
- Proficiency with Dentrix software and electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of dental terminology, healthcare regulations, and billing procedures
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and external vendors
- Background in human resources management is advantageous
- Experience in budgeting, hospital or acute care environments, nursing, or medical terminology is a plus
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00-$38.00 per hour
